I believe I have a good paper when it comes to my narrative. However, I would like to use more descriptive language.

For my analysis, I plan on developing my ethical appeals to a further extent.

In my research proposal, I am going to evaluate my claims more and use different sources. I believe that since I found all the articles I will be using in my paper, it will be easier to write about why I chose them.

In my final research paper, I plan on elaborating more on my claims. I also want to talk more in depth about my statistical evidence such as analyzing it to a further extent and relating it back to the claim.

Overall I plan on reviewing grammar and the set up of all my papers. I will also work on my transitions from one paragraph to another so that it is not choppy. I want all of my paragraphs to flow together. I will also be editing the concluding paragraphs so they properly end my papers.

I plan on going over grammar with all my papers and to make sure they are organized the way I want them to create better flow.

With my narrative, I want to fix the small grammar errors and then shape up the paper better to get that flow I need

With my analysis paper, I need to do more work. I don’t have a very good flow and it is not helping my overall information that I have, the flow and some grammar errors are creating a distraction.

The research paper, I may need to organize it better so it creates a better flow and that all the claims are clearly and easy to follow along with throughout the paper. Maybe further explain on some of my claims within the paper and create a better argument.

On my narrative paper I’m going to change my thesis so it is more precise to better guide the details, I’m also going to stop telling and start showing.

On my analysis, I’m going to edit my paragraphs so they don’t just summarize the chapter of the book, but also analyze the argument that Jayaraman presents in the chapter. I’m also going to explain how the appeals support the argument, and not just say they do.

In my final research paper, I plan on organizing better my paragraphs so they flow correctly, I also want to elaborate more on my claims and create better argument.

In general, I plan on checking the grammar on all of my papers, and change some sentences to make my papers flow a little better. I will also work on my transitions from one paragraph to the other and I will edit all my conclusions because I feel they could be better.

For my narrative, I am going to edit the second to last paragraph as advised to enhance the clarity and cohesion. I will also redo a few sentences to better support my thesis statement.

In my argument analysis, I am going to work on developing a better argument in support of the appeals.

Finally, in my researched argument, I am going to work on strengthening my claims and finding more evidence to support them. I am also going to work on my intext citations to improve them.

Overall, I am going to fix any grammatical errors and sentence level mistakes to further enhance the clarity and cohesion of my papers.

With my narrative, I plan to just go over grammatical errors and organization.

For my analysis, I want to make sure my claims are matching my thesis.

With the researched argument, I plan to make my clarity of purpose stronger. I also plan to strengthen my conclusion.

The most important things I want to focus on are organization and grammatical errors.

For the narrative and the analysis paper I only plan to look over the grammar of these papers.

In the research argument I have a lot more work than just grammar. I plan to find an additional two sources and add two paragraphs to the paper to help better my argument.

I am quite contented with my narrative and analysis paper, and I am just going to correct any grammar errors and make sure the structure complements and completes content.  As for my research paper, I am going to strengthen my claims, and I would support my claims by presenting more credible evidences. Moreover, I will edit my researched argument draft in a way where the structure of the paper would be in an organized manner and ideas are well-connected.

In my narrative draft, I plan to add in more details that will “show” and not simply “tell” what the restaurant and people looked like.

In my analysis, I plan to make each of the explanations/connections to the thesis from my evidence clearer. I will also try to focus on making my word choice more precise.

In my research proposal, I am going to work on making everything less vague. When I was writing my research proposal, my vision of what I wanted to do was still somewhat unclear to me. Now that I have the benefit of hindsight, I can clearly rewrite parts of the proposal (such as the organization and sources) to better represent my paper. I will also get rid of akward wording. I will also be sure to tweak mu thesis to make it tighter.

In my researched argument, I will be sure to tighten up the thesis like I had mentioned in the research proposal. I will also make sure to fix any unclear connections to the thesis.

In each of my papers, I will work in wordiness and clarity of thought.

I have edited my narrative a few times already but, I plan to include more details to make the story more interesting to read.

For my analysis I need to make some of my arguments stronger so I will add in more information from other sources. I also want to stay focused on one point rather than touching on multiple points.

For my research proposal, I will strengthen some of my points by researching more on them. I want my arguments/points to be as clear as possible. I also want to change some of the organization to make the paper flow better.

Overall, I want to make sure that I can change as many grammatical errors as I can catch before I turn the final portfolio in. I will also make sure that the papers are all as clear as they can be and are interesting to read.

For my narrative and analysis drafts I feel they where decent. I feel my writing purpose was clear which came in part to my clarity of thought. I feel it was well written but my grammar was off. Which is why I will be going back through and checking all my grammar and making sure I can clean up any mistakes I may see going through.

For my research proposal I will be going through and making sure my thesis statement is clear and that my thought is more clear so it shows which side I am on. once again I will also read through and make sure all the grammar mistakes are fixed.

In my research argument I plane to tighten up my citations and make sure my argument sounds coherent and to check for any grammar mistakes and any correction tips I will reserve on it.

Over all I am really going to focus on my grammar mistakes and just try and tighten everything up.

For my narrative and analysis drafts, I am content with what I have already.  I plan on just fixing any grammar mistakes I had.  I would also try to make them flow better as well as change up some of my sentence structure, if needed.

For my research proposal, I need to add more to the structure/organization section because, for some reason, I did not finish that section.  I will also add in some of the sources I used for my research argument and add their explanation.

For my research argument, I plan of fixing any sentence structure issues and the grammar issues.  I may also go back and add some more details about certain topics because they were quite interesting.  I would also like to make it flow more and take out some sentences that might not have fit in.

For my narrative and my analysis revisions, I worked a lot on my punctuation and verb errors. Also, for my analysis I worked a lot more on my clarity and wok like you told me to and to give better examples of pathos.

For my research proposal, I made the mistake of making my proposal too much like my argument. I was told not to go back and change it just to clean everything up, so therefore, I will just work on my punctuation, proofread for any mistakes, and make sure everything makes sense.

For my research argument, I plan to work better on my counterarguments and punctuation. Also, I plan to work more on my citations.

In my narrative, I believe that I did a good job of getting my ideas across, however I feel that I could have been more concise and descriptive when it comes to really anchoring down my perspective and my feelings toward the topic. In addition, there were some grammar mistakes that I need to be more mindful of.

For my analysis, I feel like I did a good job throughout the paper. One thing that I think that I need to continue to be more mindful of is making redundant claims and repeating myself.

For my research proposal, I will need to be more descriptive in how I am going to support my claims with strong and worthy sources. In addition, there were some grammar mistakes that I need to correct.

For my research paper, I feel that I have written a very strong paper and I think that it will be my best work of the semester. I think that there will be some grammar mistakes here and there, but I feel very strongly about this final paper.

Overall, I will be working on my grammar throughout the written assignments, along with a more mindful look on repeating myself and making redundant claims. I will also review formatting of the papers and make sure each of them flow throughout the paper.

For my narrative, I am going to be working on tense shifts and a whole lot of grammatical errors

For my analysis, I am going to be working on how to make the detail have more depth to it, I feel like this wasn’t my best work.

For my research proposal, I am going to add more work to it because I feel like it is unfinished and needs a proper touch.

For my researched argument, I am going to be working on my citations, I struggle mostly with the citations. And I am going to extend it with more sources too.

  15. Arionna Singleton

With my narrative paper, I’m going to correct my grammar errors.

With my analysis paper, I need to add more details and go over my grammar errors as well.

In my research proposal, I needed to correct some of my sources using the correct MLA Format.

My research paper needs to have more words added to the paper and I also need to correct my grammar errors

  16. Brenda Martinez
    November 27, 2018 at 6:01 am

In my narrative I need to focus on editing the grammar errors I have, but overall I am satisfied with it. My argument paper does need some development in my logical appeal claim and I need to organize my details a little more and fix also more grammar issues. It mostly is grammar and explaining better that I need to focus more on. Now, for my research argument paper I know I will need to focus a lot of developing my ideas cohesively and use the sources I have provided effectively to bring about my claims better and convince my audience that raising the minimum wage can bring so much more benefits to a company than it is actually thought about.

  17. Saba Alyahya
    November 27, 2018 at 7:21 am

In my narrative, I think I have written good stuff but I like to add more details in my narrative to make it even better.
For the analysis assignment, I am satisfied with what I have done but to make it better, I will make sure that my claims are supporting my thesis statement properly.
In research proposal, I have to revise the claims I have made to make it better.
I always find it difficult to write an argumentative paper. So in the researched argument, I have to revise the claims to support my thesis statement in a better way. Moreover, I am planning to use more resources to support my claims. I will also work on the organization of the paper. Moreover, I will also work on the clarity of my researched argument.
Overall, I have look for grammatical and spelling mistakes. I am always confused about the use of articles so I will check it too. I will also work on the flow of my paper to make it smooth. I will revise again and check for punctuation mistakes too.

I’m my narrative, I feel confident that I have a good paper, although I have to do some grammar editing, and correct other errors.

My main focus is going to be on the analysis paper. I have a lot of trouble writing this paper, because I didn’t know exactly what to include or how to include it into the paper. I have a lot of errors, I didn’t finish all of it and a lot more details need to be added.

After receiving the research argument back, I will edit and correct errors on that paper & also on the research proposal.

In my narrative and Analysis paper I have been working on my grammar and editing them to make them more them. I have also been going to the writing room to get help and I went to a writing workshop to help with my proofreading and editing. I also have been putting more details in my Narrative paper to create more vivid details. Most of my time and effort will go towards my research paper which has a lot to be done to it.

In my narrative, I had a okay paper, I really need to focus on some of my grammar editing , and correct other errors in my paper.

I will edit my research paper once I get it back an make sure I have everything on it is correct, the best way I can.

overall, I looking for grammar errors an mistakes in papers an to change them an have a good paper for the year

I am going to edit my Researched argument because it is the one I spent the least amount of time on. I am going to correct my grammar and sentence structures. I also know I need to fix my grammar on my blog posts and my other papers from the last midsemester portfolio such as the Narrative and the Analysis papers. I don’t have a lot I need to do on those but I’ll look at them.

When I edit my blog posts I’m going to do all 8 and make sure they are not sentence fragments. I also might have a friend look over my papers for grammatical errors that I may have missed. I’m going to get help with mine so I can learn more for the future. I also need to know how to do this for this grade because I need to pass this class.

All I might need to add is more information on my research argument because I did not spend enough time on it. I also know that the grammar was awful in it because I was rushing and I don’t know how to have decent grammar.

With regards to my Narrative essay, it did not require major changes. There were only a few punctuation errors which I rectified upon receiving the paper.

The Analysis, on the other hand, needed significant reform. I am in the process of rewriting the entire paper because I was unable to capture the essence of the paper initially. I was unsure as to the differences in the appeals and needed to obtain more solid examples from the chapter.

My Research Proposal is different from my Researched Argument because I changed the direction of my argument. I decided to choose a different restaurant that was still racially discriminatory. I went from arguing about Denny’s to an argument on the Waffle House. I kept the same topic of ‘Racial Discrimination’ and used the same argumentative question previously submitted. The reason for the change came about after some extensive research on Denny’s restaurants. I came to the realization that Denny’s is trying to improve on the discrimination and are now implementing a training program to bring diversity to the restaurant chain.  I had mixed feelings about the finding. On one hand I was relieved to see the change and on the other hand, this meant that I needed to find another restaurant that is still racially discriminatory. I did some research and found that the minority customer still experiences racial discrimination at the various Waffle Houses throughout the United States. I was able to find peer review journals that significantly supported my argument which made it easier for me to create an effective argument.

Regarding my Researched Argument, it was a bit rushed in a sense because I changed the subject of my argument right before the due date. Although, I think I did good on that paper and I am hoping that there are no significant changes to be made upon receipt.

To conclude, I am going to focus more on grammar and punctuation because this is where my weakness lies.

I believe overall most of my papers are decently written, some of the essays written just needs fixes to some grammatical errors and literary mistakes.

Beginning with my narrative I want to change it to where it moves more fluently and is easier for the reader to understand the message  I am trying to convey.

For my analysis I want to change some of the reasoning behind the menus design and the underline meaning of why the restaurant chose what they did.

Finally my final research paper need only better citation and possibly a reconstruction of a few key paragraphs that will help the general message of not raising minimum wage.

Overall I want my drafts to be coherent as possible where they give the reader the ability to understand what is happening  without any background knowledge of the events the papers describe.

For my narrative paper, I will be correcting my grammar mistakes. My grammar has improved from my first paper, thanks to online grammar checks and the Writing Room. I will include more detail so that I’m not telling the story but actually showing it.

My analysis paper needs a bit more work. For this one I will be going more into detail and including more references. It was noted that I included certain statements in my draft and I didn’t follow through in the actual paper. In this final draft I will be taking note of that and include specific examples.

I will have to rewrite my research proposal because my topic shifted focus. On my research paper, I will include more sources. I trouble finding sources on my topic so I took what I could find. This time around I will go to you and figure out how I could incorporate scholarly peer reviewed sources.

Overall, I need to focus on my sentence structure and my word choice. I want to make the best grade possible on my final portfolio. So I will be coming to you and the Writing Room, more frequently.

I plan on going over grammar with all my papers, changing some of my wording, and organizing them so that they can flow better.

For my analysis I want to focus on my ethical approach and support those claims better. If I develop my ethical appeal a little better, then everything else in my paper will flow better together. I also want to change my paragraphs more and analyze some of the arguments that Jayaraman makes in the book.

For my narrative I just want to fix some grammatical errors and change some of my wording. If I make my paper more descriptive then it will most likely catch the reader’s attention better.

Also, in my research argument, I am going to work on strengthening my claims and finding more evidence to support them.

Lastly, my research proposal, I want to spend more time writing for and using some more intext citations.

    November 27, 2018 at 1:03 pm

I think my narrative paper is well written and uses intricate detail when describing scenes that I am explaining to the reader. Although, I do believe I could add even more descriptive language to paint a perfect picture for the reader.

My analysis is a very average paper, I plan on developing Jayaraman’s purpose in ethical appeals a bit more.

My research paper needs plenty of work. I need to cut out my opinion and just try to prove my side of the argument.

My argumentative research proposal I plan on finding more detail from the sources I used and paraphrasing their concept in more detail without saying the same as the author. I need to rearrange my essay completely.

  27. Carson Weeks
    November 27, 2018 at 1:58 pm

I am going to check for grammar mistakes throughout all my drafts and make sure everything is well written.

For my narrative since it wasn’t exactly focused on the thesis, I plan to change around my thesis to make the whole paper focused just on that.

For my narrative I will try and find some more details for my main claims because I think that is where they are the weakest.

For my research paper I will put in a lot more detail and make sure everything is structured around my thesis.

  28. Kayce Jendraszek
    November 27, 2018 at 2:44 pm

When it comes to making edits on my papers, my narrative will be the easiest to edit.  I’ll simply check grammar and take out unnecessary information.

For my analysis, I’ll definitely rework my thesis and try to actually analyze more.

As for my research paper, I’ll be sure to put more quotes and evidence for my argument into the body paragraphs.

For all of them, however, I’ll have to do grammar and spelling checks to be sure everything’s the way I want it.

  29. Coral Crittenden
    November 27, 2018 at 2:48 pm

All of my papers are rather nice, with my claim being proven on my portfolio marked with a grade of A, but what I always struggle with is punctuation. Thankfully we talked about it today in class, and I learned some things! What I’ll be focusing on specifically, are the places in my papers where I placed a comma when there aren’t two full sentences on either side, making it wrong. From there, there isn’t anything else to be done in the papers I have back already, so when we get our arguments back I’ll work on what you wrote and marked to improve my paper.

    November 27, 2018 at 2:53 pm

With my narrative paper, I’m going to correct my grammar errors and makemsure it is free of mistakes
With my analysis paper, I need more details  and In my research proposal, I needed to correct some of my sources using the correct MLA Format.

My research paper needs to have more words added to the paper and focus more on the topic

  31. Daniel Henkin
    November 27, 2018 at 7:22 pm

When it comes to my papers, I believe that I need to change the way I develop my ideas because I tend to deviate from the topic. Moreover, I need to focus on being understandable about my topic. I want to change my level of English, writing in a higher English speech. I need also to work on my grammar and change the mistakes I have made.

  32. Virginia Quarles
    November 27, 2018 at 7:58 pm

The work I presented in my Mid-Semester portfolio was written to the best of my ability, but I need to fix grammatical and punctuation errors. Also, I need to change my sentence structure of some of my sentences so that they are of varying lengths.
My narrative wanders a bit, but overall it is in good shape. I need to work on punctuation throughout.
In my analysis, I will clarify the logical appeals. I point out the logical appeals and need to clarify my specific examples as logical appeals.
For my research proposal, I need to cite my sources for the claims I used. I also have grammatical errors throughout that I need to fix.
In my final research paper, I need to work mainly on my conclusion and make sure that my body paragraphs flow together. Currently, my paragraphs jump from idea to idea. I will focus on making them flow together.

  33. Cranston Jones
    November 27, 2018 at 10:42 pm

I believe that my narrative was decently written.  I will go back and fix my grammatical errors and my punctuation errors.

My analysis was a better-written paper than my narrative as far as grammar and punctuation.  I will go back and spend more time on the summary.

For my proposal I need to go back and look at my cites is used and cite a couple more.  Also, I need to go back and look at the grammar and punctuation.

For my research paper, I will need to work on my body paragraphs and make sure they are put well together and in order.  I will check for little errors in the paper as well.  I will need to work on my conclusion and they way I started the paper.

  34. Ryan Arnott
    November 28, 2018 at 1:02 pm

For my narrative I don’t plan on changing too much. I feel like the paper is about as good as I will be able to get it and I’m not quite sure how to majorly improve it at this point.
In my analysis I plan on clarifying my points and cutting out words and phrases that aren’t necessary.
I don’t plan to do much to the research proposal either as I feel that it is about the best it will be.
For the researched argument I plan to make better use of my sources, clarify my purpose and thoughts, and to make the essay more neat and organized. I feel that the argument needs to be improved a lot overall so I don’t have very many specific things that I need to work on.

  35. Tyler Gallman
    November 28, 2018 at 2:22 pm

There are a number of corrections that I would and have made to my papers. For my narrative paper I struggled with saying ‘you’ and other unnecessary words that just added fluff. I worked on fixing that and at the same time adding more detail. Now for my analysis my goal when I was revising and continue to revise, I try and add as much information from the text into my paper. I’ve also tried to restructure my essay so that it flowed more without being as repetitive as it was. For my research paper there are a number of things that I need to add including my supporting arguments. I found a sufficient amount of opposing arguments to rebuttal on but focused too much on those. A large overview of all my papers I need to focus on precise editing and editing sentence by sentence.

  36. Estefania Fuentes
    November 28, 2018 at 6:10 pm

In my case, I am going to make numerous changes to my portfolio. For my narrative I plan on working with my grammar. Also, making sure that it is cohesive and makes sense to the audience. The E essay needs more organization to it, because it seems to be out of order and not very well put together. The research argument, is where I am going to spend the most time on. I feel like it is the most important, and is the one that is going to need many more corrections. Overall, for all the papers, I need to make sure they are well developed. Also, making sure that I limit my grammar errors. Most of the time, the simple mistakes re why make my papers weaker.

  37. Airyhana
    December 3, 2018 at 8:43 pm

I plan on checking my grammatical errors and trying to fix each paper based on the notes I received earlier I the semester. I plan on meeting with the professor to make sure I’m headed in the right direction, and try to comprehend the grade I earned before. I’m going to try and work based on the rubric to score as high as I can.

  38. Benjamin Jollie
    December 4, 2018 at 2:43 pm

For my previous drafts I have fixed some grammar mistakes but, there are still more to fix. I also plan on focusing more on showing the reader what happened instead of telling. I also need to clean up some of my paragraphs to make them flow better and focus on one idea. For my research draft I need to fix a citation format mistake. Overall, I really need to focus on fixing grammar mistakes and punctuation mistakes.

  39. Hannah Gunter
    December 5, 2018 at 2:37 pm

For my previous drafts, I know they still need a lot of work. In my narative I had a lot of struggles with the direct dialogue and I still have to figure out how to structure it correctly. I also had a lot of trouble withe sentence fragments, but that is all of m papers. I also need to go into more details with my papers so it doesn’t sound so rushed. Overall, I need to mainly focus on my grammer mistakes and the details in my paper.

  40. James Jackson
    December 5, 2018 at 10:22 pm

For all my previous drafts, I have had all the same common mistakes in my papers. I never support what I am saying with any evidence and I type how I talk which is very informal. In all my papers I have attempted to fix all the errors you have given to me. In my Most Memorable Meal Paper I capitalized every word that started with the letter I and I fixed that. I also did not go into too much detail in my paper and I also fixed that. In my Analyzing Casual and Family-Style Restaurants Paper I fixed all the you and yours in my papers and fixed my grammar mistakes.

I plan to reread over my papers and then make many corrections to punctuation and make my writing more clear and concise. I will need to focus a lot of time on the research paper to correct those errors. It seems most of my errors are due to punctuation mistakes that I will need to fix

  42. Annalee McDaniel

With both my narrative and my analysis I plan to look over the grammar and make sure I am using certain punctuation right. While reading over my research paper I plan to fix some of the details and correct any grammar mistakes I find. Mostly I want to try and make my papers look nicer.

In all of my dafts I changed alot of things in them. I had a lot of bad grammar issues so that was one thing that I fixed in all of my papers. The paper that I had to look at the most and correct was my narrative draft because I honestly bs the paper the first ime but after going back and looking over it I found plenty of mistakes and corrected them.

I will make numerous changes to my papers as I already have. They will look like new papers because I will change every mistake as much as i can and make my papers more jucier than before.

In preparation for the final portfolio, in each draft I revised some aspects of my essays in the fields of clarity of purpose, organization, and grammar. Being a pretty decent writer, I’ve come to understood that I have a “straightforward academic voice” that just needs to be organized and use correctly.
